After being “grounded” for eight months, Rios got back into the ring last night against Timothy Bradley, only to suffer a 9th round KO loss.
Rios himself even admitted that prior to the fight, the first two weeks of training were a struggle. He felt that his body was no longer the same.
The proof was last night, as it was obvious that Rios was sluggish.
During the post-fight interview, he said that he was most likely to retire as his body was no longer the same and that he has “fought a lot of wars.”
As for his priorities? “Wife and kids” said Rios during the post-fight press conference.
Best of luck to him!
