Jose Felix Jr. Defeats Ricky Sismundo


Jose Felix Jr. took a split decision win at the Marriot Convention Center in Burbank on Saturday night.

Judges scored the bout at 95-94, 95-94, and 96-93.

The fight was a ten round fight.

Sismundo was able to use his height and weight to his advantage, but countering Felix with every opportunity that was available.

While Sismundo did put on a performance, a point was deducted from him in the sixth round for throwing a punch after the bell. The point deduction resulted with boos from the crowd.

Despite Sismundo’s aggression, it seemed as if he fell short after he attacked.

Felix Jr.’s record now stands at 34-1-1 while Sismundo’s record stands at 30-10-2.
